sendai mediatheque offers a service of lending out various kinds of materials by mail to those who have difficulty coming to the library.

  • user registration is required before using the service.
  • The service is available free of charge.
  • application can be made by mail, telephone, or fax.
  • you can borrow two items of material a time.
  • the loan period is 17 days, including mailing days.
  • when returning materials, turn over the address card in the pocket of the mailing box to indicate the address of mediatheque, and bring the mailing box to the post office. (the address of mediatheque on the address card for visually-impaired persons is indicated in Braille. mediatheque will pay for the postal charges).
  • when the title of the material you want to borrow is not known, please inform us of part of the title or the name of its author. we will help you search for the material.
