one night,"in vanda's room"emerges against downtown sendai
the gallery on the 6th floor with its walls detached, is covered with light from the city street through glass tubes and windows. a film focusing on a small room in the edge of lisbon, is screened. two screens are set facing each other, and inside and outside of the room are simultaneously projected. the rows of buildings along urban streets are quietly spread beyond those pictures.
this video "in vanda's room" is a part of the "pedro costa film retrospective in sendai 2005".
