borrowing materials from the library
one person may borrow one piece at a time for a period of two weeks.

lending services by mail are available for those with a certificate for the physically-impaired who have difficulty coming to the library.

those entitled to use the materials

  • those who have already completed user registration
    those who have a registration card for libraries in sendai or the mediatheque may use such cards.
  • those living in sendai and its urban area of 13 cities, towns, and village can use the materials after registering.

    *students attending schools outside of sendai are entitled to register if they have their family homes in sendai.
  • those who commute to workplaces or schools in sendai are entitled to use the materials after registering.

those with a certificate for the physically-impaired who fall under category 1, 2 or 3 are eligible for lending- by-mail services.

reception hours, available hours

from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
the booth for in-house viewing and listening is available until 9 p.m.

it is possible to search materials at the book search terminal. otherwise, please ask the staff for assistance.
reservations
it is possible to reserve the materials owned by mediatheque when they are out on loan. print out a reservation slip from the book search terminal and submit it to the counter after filling in the necessary information.
