open square

opensquare the open square is a multi-purpose venue available for movie screenings, workshops, lectures, theatrical performances, etc.
a space measuring 6.9 meters in height and 20 meters on all four sides can be enclosed with mobile panels. it is equipped with a large viewing screen that is 12 meters wide and 6 meters high and can be used for viewing from both sides, making video visible from both inside and outside the facility.

  • translucent front/rear projector screen measuring 12 meters in width and 6 meters in height that can be rolled up to the ceiling. projection possible up to 400 inches
  • high-luminance projector (12000 ansi lumens)
  • mobile panels 5 meters in width and 2.5 tons in weight with noise insulation which can handle more than 40 decibels
  • horizontally mobile batten used for stage choreography installed on the ceiling

use of screen, projector, and other accompanying facilities are charged separately

how to apply to use the facilities

  • applications are accepted six months in advance of the desired date.
  • a meeting with facility personnel on how the facilities are to be used is held one month in advance of the desired date.
  • to cancel or change the conditions for use of the facilities, a cancellation or revision procedure must be followed.
  • inquiries on the status of an application
  • if multiple applications are received for the same facility for the same periods, the user will be selected in a drawing.
  • applications will not be accepted by telephone, fax or email.

one day (9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.); continuous use for up to one week is available.

restrictions on use

  • a relevant report to authorities is necessary when using fire, etc.
  • use of objects that generate extremely loud sounds, and/or bringing hazardous objects and materials, etc., are prohibited.
